Sleepy Cherry & Lemon Gummies For Ditching The Sleep Scaries

Sleepy Cherry & Lemon Gummies For Ditching The Sleep Scaries

Halloween isn’t exactly known for its sleep-friendly habits. Between late nights, sugar spikes, and the general overstimulation of the season, it’s easy to end up haunted by restless sleep. But with a few simple ingredients, you can turn a spooky season into a soothing season, starting with these Sleepy Cherry & Lemon Gummies.

Think of them as your natural, homemade version of those glossy, influencer-favourite sleep gummies, but made with whole, functional ingredients you can actually pronounce.

Unlike your average sweet, these gummies are designed to calm, not spike cortisol. Tart cherry juice, naturally rich in melatonin, works in harmony with lemon’s bright vitamin C kick and the gut-supportive amino acids in gelatine. Together, they create a bedtime ritual that’s equal parts nourishing and nostalgic.

  • 200ml tart cherry juice (unsweetened)
  • Juice of ½ lemon (around 1 tbsp)
  • 1–2 tsp raw manuka honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • 2 tbsp grass-fed Ossa Gelatine powder
  • A pinch of Baga Gold Salt
  1. Warm gently. In a small saucepan, heat the tart cherry and lemon juice over low heat until just warm, avoid boiling to preserve nutrients.
  2. Add sweetness. Stir in honey or maple syrup and a pinch of sea salt until fully dissolved.
  3. Bloom the gelatine. Sprinkle gelatine evenly over the warm liquid, whisking continuously until smooth and lump-free.
  4. Set. Pour the mixture into silicone moulds (bonus points for tiny pumpkins) or a lined tray.
  5. Chill. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm, then pop out and store in the fridge for up to a week.

Have 2–3 about 30 minutes before bed to help the nervous system unwind and the body slip naturally into rest mode.

These gummies are simple but effective, the kind of thing you’ll want to keep stocked in the fridge long after Halloween has passed. For an added layer of calm, try mixing in a few drops of magnesium or a dusting of ashwagandha before setting. Sweet dreams, minus the sleep scaries.
